How we make money

Updated September 26, 2026

Cash for Dentists is free to read. We earn money when you click some links on this site and then check a rate, apply, open an account or sign up. Those links go through addresses that start with /go/, and every page that has one says so above the first link.

Who pays us

  • Student loan refinance lenders and marketplaces. Most pay when a referred loan is funded; some pay per application.
  • Private in-school lenders. Usually paid per pre-qualified application.
  • A flat-fee student loan planning service. Paid per completed consultation. They advise you; we never see your file.
  • Insurance quote services. A flat fee per quote request or lead, never a share of a policy. We aren’t an insurance agency and don’t sell insurance.
  • Banking, investing and practice software. Paid per account or signup.

It costs you nothing extra. Lenders don’t charge you more because you came from our link.

What payment never changes

  • Rankings. Rate tables are sorted by the lowest advertised APR. Lenders with no paid link are listed too. How we rank lenders.
  • Verdicts. Our calculators say “don’t refinance” whenever a federal plan costs less, even though refinancing is how we earn most.
  • What we cover. Some of our most useful pages, like loan repayment programs and practice loans, have no paid links at all.

What we never take money for

  • Paid “forgiveness”, “debt relief” or consolidation services. Everything they charge for is free at studentaid.gov.
  • Reviews or rankings. No lender can pay to move up or to be left out.
  • Your data. Calculators run in your browser and don’t send your numbers anywhere.

We’re not a lender, a loan broker or a financial advisor, and we’re not affiliated with the U.S. Department of Education. Nothing on this site is a loan offer. Questions: ryan@cashfordentists.com.
