How a page gets published

  1. Draft. Each page is drafted to our writing guide, with official sources first: studentaid.gov, the Federal Register, HRSA, the IRS, the ADA and ADEA, and lenders’ own sites for lender facts.
  2. Fact-check. A separate check compares every number, rule, date and rate with its source.
  3. Expert review. A Certified Student Loan Professional (CSLP) or CFP® professional reviews finance pages for accuracy. Their name and date appear on the page.
  4. Dentist approval. Ryan Smith, DDS approves every page and adds a dentist’s perspective where it helps.

Some drafting and fact-checking uses AI tools. No page publishes without the human review above, and we never publish AI-written reviews or testimonials.

Dates

  • Rates, limits, program amounts and deadlines carry an “as of” date.
  • The “updated” date changes only when the content changes in a way that matters, never just to look fresh.
  • Rules change often right now. We recheck federal rates and limits every July 1, loan repayment programs each fall, and every evergreen page yearly.

Independence

Lenders and advertisers don’t see or approve our pages before they publish, and payouts never change rankings or verdicts. How we make money.

Not advice

This site is general education for dentists and dental students. It isn’t financial, tax, legal or insurance advice for your situation, and we don’t act as your advisor or broker.
